EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners, acting as the Community
Redevelopment Agency Board, approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Site Improvement
Grant Agreement between the Community Redevelopment Agency and Mi chael and Kelley
Vanderstel , in the amount of $ 6,356.46 for the property located at 2500 Lee Street, Naples, Florida
34112 located within the Bayshore Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Area.
OBJECTIVE: To improve an existing residential single-family unit to assist in revitalizing the
neighborhood through the Site Improvement Grant established by the Bayshore Gateway Triangle
Community Redevelopment Area (BGTCRA).
CONSIDERATIONS: The purpose of the grant program is to provide an incentive to revitalize the area
by providing a matching grant to encourage the private sector to upgrade/rehabilitate their property. The
Site Improvement Grant requires applicants to provide a project cost-match of at least 67% with the
remaining project dollars supported by Tax Increment dollars generated from the BGTCRA district.
FISCAL IMPACT: Sufficient funds are available in the BGTCRA Fund 787- Project #50197 to support
the proposed residential grant reimbursement of $6,356.46.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: The proposed improvements will further the goals, objectives
and policies outlined in the Community Redevelopment plan.
ADVISORY BOARD RECOMMENDATION: On May 5, 2021, the Bayshore Gateway Triangle
Local Redevelopment Advisory Board recommended approval of t he grant 7-0.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote
for Board action. JAB
