EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to transfer funding from Pine Ridge and Naples
Production Park Bond Fund (232) to Naples Production Park Capital MSTU Fund (138).
OBJECTIVE: To fund construction of the intersection safety improvement project ‘Commercial
Boulevard at Exchange Avenue and Commercial Boulevard at Domestic Avenue’ from the Naples
Production Park Municipal Service Taxing Unit Fund in the amount of $382,600 for Fiscal Year 2021.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Naples Production Park Municipal Service Taxing Unit was created through
Ordinance No. 85-39 for intersection and drainage improvements within the boundary of the Naples
Production Park. Transportation Engineering in-house design staff has prepared intersection improvement
plans for Commercial Boulevard at Exchange Avenue and Commercial Boulevard at Domestic Avenue to
improve safety and functionality at these locations.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments, in the amount of $382,600, are required to transfer funds from
Pine Ridge and Naples Production Park Bond Fund (232) to Naples Production Park MSTU Fund (138),
Project 60188 to fund the construction of intersection safety improvements.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney. Based on my
discussions with staff, the $382,600 was originally taken from the Naples Production Park MSTU Fund
which had no need for the funds at the time, and is simply being transferred back into the Naples
Production Park MSTU Fund due to the existing need. Based on that understanding, this item raises no
legal issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize budget amendments to transfer funding from Pine Ridge and
Naples Production Park Bond Fund (232) to Naples Production Park Capital MST&BU Fund (138).
