Agnelli and Victoria Tracy to the Industrial Development Authority)06/08/2021 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to reappoint two members to the Industrial Development Authority. OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Industrial Development Authority, to four -year terms expiring on June 12, 2025. CONSIDERATIONS: The Industrial Development Authority was established on February 27, 1979, by Resolution No. 79-34, pursuant to FL STAT 159, Part III. This five-member authority has the power to sell industrial revenue bonds. Money generated from the bonds would be used to construct industrial plants, equipment and other facilities which would be leased or sold to private industry. Terms are four years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup. Two seats on this authority will expire on June 12, 2021. STAFF RECOMMENDATION: That Mr. Agnelli and Ms. Tracy each be reappointed to their seats on this authority. A recommendation memo is included in the backup. FISCAL IMPACT: None. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Staff Recommendation, and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the reappointments. RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - ____ A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING JOHN AGNELLI AND VICTORIA TRACY TO THE COLLIER COUNTY INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY. WHEREAS, Collier County Resolution No. 79-34, declared a need for an industrial development authority and established the Collier County Industrial Development Authority, consisting of five members, to transact any and all business and to exercise the powers as set forth in Chapter 159, Part III, Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, two seats on the Industrial Development Authority will expire on June 12, 2021; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties; and WHEREAS, staff has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its recommendations for reappointment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that JOHN AGNELLI and VICTORIA TRACY are hereby each reappointed to their seats on the Collier County Industrial Development Authority, to serve four-year terms expiring on June 12, 2025.
