itself or a successor created by borne rule or under general law (the "Board"}. is contemplating the
imposmon of spcctal capital lnlprovcment assessments for the provision of neighborhood
improvements and services including conslruction ora water line and related water facilities plus a
sewer line and related v. astewater facilities needed to facilitate the availability of water and
wastewater service from Florida Cities Water Company to service (I 1) lots on the south side of
Golden Gate Parkway east from Santa Barbara Boulevard to 53rd Street Southwest; and
WHEREAS. the Board intends to use the uniform method for collecting non-ad valorem
special assessments for the cost of providing construction of a water line and related water
facilities plus a sewer line and related wastewater facilities needed to facilitate the availability of
water and wastewater service from Florida Cities Water Company to service (11) lots on the
south side of Golden Gate Parkway east from Santa Barbara Boulevard to 53rd Street,
Southwest; and

Resolution, proof of publication of such hearing being attached hereto as l.]xhibit tx.,

Commencing ~.vith the Fiscal Year beginning October I. 1999 and with the lax
statement mailed for such Fiscal Year. Ihe county intends to use the uniform method
of collecting non-ad valorem assessments authorized in Section 107 3632. Florida
Statutes, as amended, for collecting non-ad ,.alorem assessments for thc cost of
providing construction of a water line and related ..ater facilities plus a sewer line
and related wastev, ater facilities needed lo facilitate the a,.ailability of water and
wastewater service from Florida Cities Water Company to senice (11 } lois on

Street, Southwest Such non-ad valorem assessments shall be levied within the
unincorporated areas of the County. A legal description of such area subject to the
assessment is attached hereto as Exhibit B and incorporated by reference.
2. The County hereby determines that the levy of the assessments is needed to fund thc
cost of construction of a water line and related water facilities plus a sewer line and
related wastewatcr facilities to service (11) lots on thc south side of Golden Gate
Park,.vay east from Santa Barbara Boulevard to $3rd Street, Southwest located
within such unincorporated areas of thc County.
3. Pursuant to Section 1973632, Florida Statutes, the Collier County Tax Collector
and the Collier County Property Appraiser have agreed that the board may have
until March 1, 1999 to adopt this Resolution; such agreement being attached hereto
as Exhibit C and incorporated herein by reference.
4. Upon adoption, the County Clerk is hereby directed to send a copy of this
Resolution by United States mail to the Florida Department of Revenue, thc Collier
County Tax Collector, and the Collier County Property Appraiser by March I0
1999.
5. This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption. There is a need for thc levy of
non-ad valorem special assessments to reimburse thc County for its costs to
construct a water line and related water facilities plus a ,,vastewater line and related
wastewater facilities to facilitate the availability of water sc~'ice and wastewater
service from Florida Cities Water Company to thc subject eleven (11) lots, all of
which are on the south side of Golden Gate Parkway between Santa Barbara
Boulevard and $3rd Street, Southwest.
6. This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.

(1) the County may have until March I. 1999 to adopt a resolution of intent to use the uniform
method to collect non-ad valorem assessments as provided by Section 197.3632. Florida Statutes;
and (2) the parties will comply with the statutory requirements associated with the County's use of
the uniform method to collect non-ad valorem assessments, with the County being responsible for
the actual administrative and collection costs associated therewith, all as provided in Section
197.3632, Florida Statutes.
