EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint a member to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee to fill the
remainder of a vacant term expiring on March 3, 2022.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created on October 21, 1997 by Ordinance No.
97-52 to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of providing
curbing, watering facilities, plantings and maintenance of the median areas as set forth in Ordinance No.
96-84. The committee shall recommend work programs and priorities to the County Manager or his
designee. Members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the
current membership is included in the backup.
There is one vacancy on this committee. The vacancy was advertised and the following application was

RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the
appointment.

RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - ____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING WILLIAM GURNEE TO
THE RADIO ROAD BEAUTIFICATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 97-52 established the Radio Road
Beautification Advisory Committee to assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out
the purposes of the Radio Road Beautification Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 97-52 provides that this Advisory Committee shall be
composed of five members who generally represent the area within the MSTU; and
WHEREAS, there is one vacancy on this Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee has provided the Board
of County Commissioners with its recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that WILLIAM GURNEE is hereby
appointed to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee, to fill the remainder of a
vacant term expiring on March 3, 2022.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after majority vote on the 25th day of May, 2021.
