EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint a member to the Haldeman Creek Dredging Maintenance Advisory
Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To appoint a member to the Haldeman Creek Dredging Maintenance Advisory
Committee, to serve a four-year term expiring on March 13, 2025.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Haldeman Creek Dredging Maintenance Advisory Committee is a five
member committee created on November 28, 2006 by Ordinance 2006-60, to aid and assist the Board of
County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of the MSTU, to prepare and recommend an itemized
budget, and to recommend work programs and priorities. Members are to be appointed from different
parcels, subdivisions and/or communities within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the current
membership is included in the backup.
There is one vacant seat on this committee. The vacancy was advertised and an application was received
from the following:

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on May 10, 2021, the committee voted
unanimously to recommend that the Board appoint Mr. Wopperer to fill the current vacancy, to serve a
four-year term expiring on March 13, 2025. A recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the
appointment.

RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - _____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ROBERT WOPPERER TO
THE HALDEMAN CREEK DREDGING MAINTENANCE ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2006-60 established the Haldeman Creek
Dredging Maintenance Advisory Committee to assist the Board of County Commissioners in
carrying out the purposes of the Haldeman Creek Dredging Municipal Service Taxing Unit
(MSTU); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2006-60, as amended, provides that this Advisory Committee
shall be composed of five members who reside within and generally represent the MSTU; and
WHEREAS, there is a vacant seat on this Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee has provided the Board of County Commissioners
with its recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that ROBERT WOPPERER is hereby
appointed to the Haldeman Creek Dredging Maintenance Advisory Committee, to serve a four-
year term expiring on March 13, 2025.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after majority vote on the 25th day of May, 2021.
