Good Afternoon Mr. Jensen,
We received your petition to the Value Adjustment Board in today's mail.
Two things:
1.) the $15.00 filing fee was not included and we can not process your petition without it.
2.) You are past our September 11, 2020 Petition deadline. When you send in your filing fee you will need
to have a written "Good Cause" reason why you missed our petition deadline.
Once we receive your filing fee and good cause letter, your petition will be sent to the VAB Legal Council
to determine if you have a valid reason for submitting your petition late.
If she feels you have a valid reason, your petition WILL move forward in the process. If you do not have
good cause your petition will NOT move forward.

of your property record card containing information relevant to the computation of your current assessment, with confidential
information redacted. When the property appraiser receives the petition, he or she will either send the property record card
toyou or notify you how to obtain it online.
Your petition will not be complete until you pay the filing fee. When the VAB has reviewed and accepted it, they will assign
a number, send you a confirmation, and give a copy to the property appraiser. Unless the person filing the petition is
completing part 4, the taxpayer must sign the petition in part 3. Alternatively, the taxpayer's written authorization or power
of attorney must accompany the petition at the time of filing with the signature of the person filing the petition in part 5 (s.
