Mr. Callahan and Ms. Patterson have extensive general governmental experience, proven leadership skills, education, demonstrated management abilities, and a knowledge of County operations and personnel which make each of them uniquely qualified to fill these positions. The County’s Public Services Department is comprised of eight divisions consisting of 479 full time employees with an annual operating budget of $113.3 million plus an ongoing capital budget exceeding $83 million. Mr. Rodriguez is well-qualified to lead this department with his previous experience and knowledge of agency operations. This department will be separated into two distinct sections with focus on transportation planning, construction, and maintenance: and community development planning and regulatory functions. Two Deputy Department Heads will lead each section in the execution of these critical operations. Mr. French and Ms. Scott, with their extensive knowledge of these operations, will serve in each of these positions, respectively. George Yilmaz will continue to serve the County in his capacity as Public Utilities Department Head. Other changes to the Agency’s organizational structure will be regularly briefed and updated to the Board as they are implemented strategically over the coming months.
