PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS,
Miss Florida USA® 2021 and Miss Florida Teen USA® 2021 will
be crowned on July 18, 2021 in Orlando, Florida; and
WHEREAS,
the winner of Miss Florida USA® will advance in the Fall of 2021
to the nationally televised competition of Miss USA®; and
WHEREAS,
the winner of Miss Florida Teen USA® will advance to the Miss
Teen USA® competition; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Katie Larsen, currently Miss Central Naples USA and Ms.
Skye Allen, currently Miss East Naples USA will be contestants
to become Miss Florida USA®; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Olivia Veliz, currently Miss Collier County Teen USA will be
a contestant to become Miss Florida Teen USA®; and
WHEREAS,
these three young Collier County residents have succeeded in
meeting the requirements to compete in the Florida USA®
competition; and
WHEREAS,
their accomplishments at the local level are recognized to be the
result of hard work, enthusiasm and commitment; and
WHEREAS,
they are talented ambassadors representing Collier County;
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Board of County Commissioners
of Collier County, Florida, congratulates Ms. Katie Larsen, Ms.
Skye Allen and Ms. Olivia Veliz for their achievements thus far
and extends best wishes for successful outcomes at the Miss
Florida USA® and Miss Florida Teen USA® competition.
