The CRA and MSTU allocated $314,749 for CEI, design and the remaining construction cost for the project. In July 2020 Coastal Concrete was awarded the contract in the of $821,756.00. Construction began in September 2020. Total project cost is estimated at $991,114. Project is substantially completed. 4 FDOT SR29 – Pedestrian Safety Project Completed – February 2021 Installed two RRFBs (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons), signing and pavement marking improvements, New Traffic Signal at 3rd and Main Street 30 New LED Streetlights – MSTU partnership to provide banner arms and electrical outlets Project Cost: $1.98 Million. Main Street/SR29 Pedestrian Safety Improvements 5 Welcome Signs First Street/Eustis - Completed New Market/SR29 Triangle – Installation – April 2021 Panther Crossing - Proposed for 3rd Quarter 2021 with new image 6 First Street Corridor Conceptual Plan Q. Grady Minor & Associates, P.A (Grady Minor) has been hired to provide professional services for future street lighting and pedestrian safety improvements along South First Street (from Main Street to School Road/Seminole Crossing Trail) in Immokalee. Main Street First Street 7 Redevelopment Plan update Staff issued NTP to Johnson Engineering on December 1, 2020 Online Surveys – March 2021 Public Kick Off Meeting – March 31, 2021 Small Group Sessions – April/May Adoption Presentation – First Quarter 2022 Building on the goals as presented in the Immokalee Area Master Plan Redevelopment Plan Update 8 Immokalee Area Master Plan (PL201880002258) Approved by BCC for final adoption on December 10, 2019. Next Step – Land Development Code Revisions First Area - Business District April 21st @ 10 a.m. – First Workshop January 22, 2022 – Tentative BCC final adoption hearing Land Use Planning 9 TIGER Grant Transportation Investment Generation Economic Recovery (TIGER) Grant Project total cost is $16, 415,864. Funding sources are FHWA grand funds (80%) = $13,132,691 County match funds (20%) = $3,283,173. Includes design and construction of 20 Miles of concrete sidewalks, a bike boulevard network, a shared-use path, street lighting, bus shelters, a new transit center, landscaping, drainage improvements, and intersection and traffic calming retreats. Collier County has provided the CRA with an overview of estimated schedule with milestones. The design/build portion of this project is set to start in first quarter 2022 and construction is set to be completed in third quarter 2024. New Streetlights – Maintenance responsibility of MSTU.
