EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize Augusto Vega, Programmer Analyst, Senior in the Operations &
Veterans Services Division as the March 2021 Employee of the Month.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize the efforts and accomplishments of an employee who has made significant
contributions to the organization and to our community.
CONSIDERATIONS: Augusto is a Senior Programmer Analyst with the Operations & Veterans
Services Division since 2017 and has been with the County since 2016. Augusto led a special project on
behalf of the County Manager’s Office to implement the Cityworks Enterprise Asset Management for the
Paradise Coast Sports Complex. Augusto trained all of the maintenance teams and gathered key players
from Public Utilities, Public Services, and Facilities Management to brainstorm ideas and recommend
solutions to the challenges of the implementation. With Augusto’s facilitation, this cross -departmental
team was able to bring Paradise Coast EAM online in less than four months and without the assi stance of
consultants or vendors, saving the County money. The improvements driven by this implementation
helped bolster team performance, motivated staff, and showcased the value of using Cityworks,
Enterprise Asset Management.
FISCAL IMPACT: The selected “Employee of the Month” receives a $150.00 cash award. Funds for
this are available in the employee’s budget cost center.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There are no Growth Management Impacts associated with
this Executive Summary.
