EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve an Assumption Agreement assigning all rights, duties and benefits,
and obligations to The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company d/b/a Bartlett Tree Experts, under
Agreement No. 20-7675, “Parks Tree Maintenance and Arborist Services”
OBJECTIVE: To assign Agreement #20-7675 with Signature Tree Care, LLC, to The F.A. Bartlett Tree
Expert Company d/b/a Bartlett Tree Experts.
CONSIDERATIONS: On May 26, 2020 (Agenda Item No. 16.D.3), the County entered into Agreement
#20-7675, “Parks Tree Maintenance and Arborist Services” with Signature Tree Care, LLC (“Signature
Tree”), for tree maintenance and arborist services throughout all Parks and Recreation locations.
The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company d/b/a Bartlett Tree Experts (“Bartlett Tree”) represents and
warrants to the County that through the execution of a Bill of Sale dated October 10, 2020, Bartlett Tree
is now the successor in interest to Agreement #20-7675. Staff obtained documentation from Bartlett Tree
to confirm the acquisition and the necessary business documents from the assuming vendor which have
been reviewed and accepted by the County Attorney’s Office.

Staff is recommending approval of an Assumption Agreement with The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert
Company assigning all rights, duties, benefits, and obligations under Agreement #20-7675.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To approve an Assumption Agreement assigning all rights, duties and benefits
and obligations to The F.A. Bartlett Tree Expert Company d/b/a Bartlett Tree Experts under Agreement
#20-7675, “Parks Tree Maintenance and Arborist Services” and authorize the Chair to sign the attached
Assumption Agreement.
