EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to acknowledge and accept a correction on a scrivener’s error in the executive
summary pertaining to Agreement No. 20-7728 awarded for CEI Services for Veterans Memorial
Boulevard Extension - Phase I and Phase II (from Old 41 Road to the intersection with Livingston
Road), with no change to the total contract amount awarded to Hardesty & Hanover for Phase I as
correctly referenced in the Board approved agreement.
OBJECTIVE: To correct a scrivener's error in the executive summary for agenda item 11A approved at
the Board’s January 12, 2021 meeting.
CONSIDERATIONS: On January 12, 2021, Agenda Item 11A, the Board awarded Agreement No. 20-
7728, “CEI Services for Veteran Memorial Boulevard Extension - Phase I and Phase II (from Old 41
Road to Livingston Road),” Project Number 60198. Due to a scrivener’s error in the executive summary,
the contract amount for Phase I was reported as $1,177,236, when it should have been referenced as
$1,194,736. The Phase II portion of the project was correctly referenced in the amount of $937,213.35.
Notwithstanding the error referencing the Phase I cost in the Executive Summary, the actual total contract
amount (for Phases 1 and 2) was correctly stated in the Executive Summary as $2,131,949.35. Staff is
reporting this correction for administrative clarity.
FISCAL IMPACT: The total award will remain $2,131,949.35.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This action will result in no growth management impact.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
for Board approval. -SRT
RECOMMENDATION: To acknowledge and accept a correction on a scrivener’s error in the executive
summary pertaining to Agreement No. 20-7728 awarded for CEI Services for Veterans Memorial
