EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to amend Ordinance No. 2021-02, the County Government Productivity
Committee Ordinance, to increase the membership of the Productivity Committee from nine to
eleven members.
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to increase the membership the County
Government Productivity Committee from nine to eleven members.
CONSIDERATIONS: On January 12, 2021 under agenda item 9B, the Board adopted Ordinance No.
2021-02 to re-establish the Productivity Committee, whose duties are to review the efficiency of
departments of county government under the jurisdiction of the Board of County Commissioners. The
Productivity Committee was to be comprised of nine members: five members to represent each of the
commission districts, and four at-large members.
On March 9, 2021 under agenda item 10B, the Board reviewed the applications for membership on the
newly re-established committee. Due to the high quality of applicants, the Board unanimously voted to
increase the number of at-large members from four to six. The attached ordinance memorializes this
change.
FISCAL IMPACT: Cost of advertising this ordinance amendment was $518.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the attached ordinance
amending Ordinance No. 2021-02 to increase the membership of the Productivity Committee from nine to
eleven members.
