EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to provide additional staff direction regarding the County Manager
recruitment process.
OBJECTIVE: To hear presentations from five candidate finalists for the position of County
Manager.
CONSIDERATIONS: During the February 9, 2021 BCC meeting, the Commissioners agreed
upon five candidate finalists to continue with the interview process. The candidate finalists are
Paul Carlisle, Charles Chapman, IV, Mark Isackson, Daniel Rodriguez and G. George Yilmaz.
Following the meeting, each candidate was contacted via email with instructions to schedule
one-on-one interviews with each Commissioner. They were also asked to attend the March 9,
2021 meeting to provide a presentation on their candidacy for the County Manager position and
respond to any questions of the Board.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This action will result in no growth management
impact.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no
legal issues at this time, and requires majority vote for action. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board hear the presentations of the candidate finalists prior
to making a selection at the March 23, 2021 BCC meeting.
