EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Collier County
Landscape Maintenance Agreement (“Agreement”) between Collier County and
Vanderbilt Naples Holdings, LLC for developer funded improvements to landscape,
irrigation, lighting, brick pavers, and other site furnishing improvements within the rights-
of-way abutting the One Naples project. (This is a companion to items 2B and 2C,
PL20190000696, and PL20190000697).

OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approves and authorizes the Chairman
to sign the attached Collier County Landscape Maintenance Agreement permitting landscaping, irrigation,
lighting, brick pavers, and other site furnishings within the County right-of-way and ensuring that
Vanderbilt Naples Holdings, LLC, will maintain improvements accordingly.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Road Maintenance Division received a request from Christopher R. Mitchell
of J. R. Evans Engineering, P.A., as agent for the applicant, Vanderbilt Naples Holdings, LLC, to install
landscaping and irrigation, decorative lighting, brick pavers within the sidewalk and travel ways, and
other site furnishings within public rights-of-way abutting the One Naples project. Vanderbilt Naples
Holdings, LLC agrees to maintain all proposed improvements along Vanderbilt Beach Road and Gulf
Shore Drive as depicted in Schedule A and in accordance with the specifications in Schedule B, as well as
the County's Land Development Code and other applicable local, state, and federal laws. Rights to
terminate the Agreement will be spelled out in the Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no cost to Collier County associated with this proposal. The developer,
Vanderbilt Naples Holdings, LLC, shall bare the full cost of constructing and maintaining the approved
landscaping, irrigation, lighting, brick pavers, and other site furnishing improvements and is responsible
for all recording fees.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney’s Office, is
approved as to form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -DDP
RECOMMENDATION: To approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Collier County landscape
maintenance agreement between Collier County and Vanderbilt Naples Holdings, LLC for developer
funded improvements to landscaping, irrigation, lighting, brick pavers, and other site furnishing
improvements within public rights-of-way abutting the One Naples project.
