EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint two members to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee to
four-year terms expiring on March 3, 2025.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created on October 21, 1997 by Ordinance No.
97-52 to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of providing
curbing, watering facilities, plantings and maintenance of the median areas as set forth in Ordinance No.
96-84. The committee shall recommend work programs and priorities to the County Manager or his
designee. Members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the
current membership is included in the backup.
There is one vacancy on this committee, and two terms which will expire on March 3, 2021. The
vacancies were advertised and the following applications were received:

ATTENDANCE: Mr. Wilson has had one excused absence in the past two years, and Ms. Schoenfelder
has had perfect attendance. Attendance records are included in the backup.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That Ms. Schoenfelder and Mr. Wilson be reappointed to their
seats on the committee, to new four-year terms which shall expire on March 3, 2025. A recommendation
email is included in the backup. The remaining vacancy will continue to be advertised.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the
reappointments.

RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - ____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING MARIA
SCHOENFELDER AND HARRY WILSON TO THE RADIO ROAD
BEAUTIFICATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 97-52 established the Radio Road
Beautification Advisory Committee to assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out
the purposes of the Radio Road Beautification Municipal Service Taxing Unit (MSTU); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 97-52 provides that this Advisory Committee shall be
composed of five members who generally represent the area within the MSTU; and
WHEREAS, there is one vacancy and two seats expiring on March 3, 2021 on this
Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee has provided the Board
of County Commissioners with its recommendation for reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that MARIA SCHOENFELDER and
HARRY WILSON are each hereby reappointed to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory
Committee, to four-year terms expiring on March 3, 2025.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after majority vote on the 26th day of January, 2021.
