EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to appoint four members to Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Advisory
Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members and appoint two new members, to three -year terms expiring
on February 11, 2024.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Land Acquisition Advisory Committee is comprised of 9 members. This
committee's primary responsibility is to recommend to the BCC an Active Properties Acquisition List
with qualified purchase recommendations of environmentally sensitive lands consistent with the goals of
the Conservation Collier Land Acquisition Program. Membership of the committee shall comprise broad
and balanced representation including environmental and conservation interests, agricultural and business
interests, educational interests, and general civic and citizen interests within the County. Members shall
have expertise, knowledge or interest in ecology, conservation of natural resources, real estate or land
acquisition, land appraisal, land management, eco-tourism or environmental education. Terms are three
years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
Four seats on this committee will expire on February 11, 2021. The pending vacancies were advertised
and the following applications were received:

ATTENDANCE: During the past two years, Mr. Bromley has had three excused absences, Ms. Sherry
has had four excused absences, and Ms. Patterson-Weber has had perfect attendance. Attendance records
are included in the backup.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on January 11, 2021, the committee considered
the above applications and voted to recommend that David Corban and Carl Kuehner be appointed to the
Land Acquisition Advisory Committee, and that Gary Bromley and Brittany Patterson-Weber be
reappointed to the committee, to three-year terms expiring on February 11, 2024. Recommendation
emails are included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointments.
