EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint three members to the Collier County Code Enforcement Board.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint three members to the Collier County Code Enforcement Board, to three-
year terms expiring on February 14, 2024.
CONSIDERATIONS: This seven-member board, plus two alternates, was established pursuant to
Chapter 162 of the Florida Statutes by Ordinance No. 07-44, as amended, and is composed of individuals
representing the occupations of architect, business owner, engineer, general contractor, subcontractor and
realtor, and who are considered for appointment based on their experience or interest in the areas of the
codes and ordinances to be enforced. Members are required to file a Form 1 Statement of Financial
Interest each year with the Supervisor of Elections. Terms are 3 years. This is a quasi-judicial board. A
list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There are three regular seats and one alternate seat expiring on February 14, 2021. The pending vacancies
were advertised and applications were received from the following:

ATTENDANCE: During the past two years, the above applicants have had no absences.
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: As a quasi-judicial board no committee recommendation is required.
Staff recommends that Mr. Kaufman and Mr. Lefebvre each be reappointed to new three-year terms
expiring on February 14, 2024, and that Mr. Blanco, who has been serving as an alternate, be reappointed
as a regular member to a new three-year term expiring on February 14, 2024. The vacant alternate seat
will continue to be advertised. A recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Staff Recommendation,
and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the reappointments.

RESOLUTION NO. 2021 - ____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING ROBERT KAUFMAN,
GERALD LEFEBVRE, AND DANNY BLANCO TO THE COLLIER
COUNTY CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD.
WHEREAS, May 8, 2007, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No.
2007-44, the Consolidated Code Enforcement Ordinance, which established the Collier County
Code Enforcement Board to hear and decide cases in which violations are alleged of any
provision of Collier County codes or ordinances; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2007-44, as amended, provides that the Code Enforcement
Board shall be comprised of seven regular members and two alternate members and, when
possible, shall include one or more members from specified classifications; and
WHEREAS, there are four seats expiring on February 14, 2021 on the Code Enforcement
Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, staff has provided the Board with its recommendation for reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that ROBERT KAUFMAN, a
Realtor, GERALD LEFEBVRE, a Realtor, and DANNY BLANCO, a Realtor, are each hereby
reappointed to the Code Enforcement Board as regular members upon the expiration of their
current terms, to three-year terms which shall expire on February 14, 2024.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on the 26th day of January, 2021.
