RE: 3631 Rum Row, Naples, FL 34102
Parcel Number: 17411040008
Collier County Value Adjustment Board:
It is my intention to appeal the 2015 assessed value of 3631 Rum Row located in Naples,
FL. The property is owned by my wife, Betty J. Farrell, through her revocable trust. Betty
is suffering from Alzheimer's disease, and I serve as the sole trustee of her revocable
trust.
I engaged a firm to appeal the 2015 assessed value, and it recently came to my attention
that this firm failed to file the appeal by the September 8°i deadline as I entrusted them to
do. I would have preferred to manage the appeal process personally, but my ability to
give matters such as these the attention they deserve is extremely limited due to my
wife's condition. I am her primary care giver and do so in our home.
I am requesting a hardship extension to file the appeal of the 2015 assessed value of 3631
Rum Row at this time.
Sincerely,

Good Afternoon,
The VAB proceedings are coming to a close for the 2015 appeals. The letter you sent does reference that the firm had
indeed filed a petition on behalf of the property owner, but they had filed past the due date of September 8, 2015.The
Clerk's Notice (attached)that was mailed out to the petitioner's agent was sent on September 17th denying the Good
Cause for the late filing. I will forward on your request to the VAB Legal Counsel, but I'm not sure that we can do
anything further as it is so late in the process. The VAB had determined that a November 1 date was the absolute cut-
off date.
You will be hearing from either the VAB Legal Counsel or from our office of the determination on how to proceed.
