EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign a Satisfaction and Release of
Claim acknowledging full payment for water and sewer services in the amount of $170.20 for filing
with the Probate Division.
OBJECTIVE: To satisfy and release a claim for a water and sewer balance that has been paid in full by
an estate of a property owner that received service from the Collier County Water-Sewer District.
CONSIDERATIONS: Collier County was notified by the Estate of Michael Cam pbell (“Estate”)
that Mr. Campbell, the owner of 4151 Saint George Lane, had passed away. In response, the County
Attorney’s Office filed a statement of claim with the Probate Division in the amount of $170.20, the
outstanding balance for water and sewer service.
The Estate has since paid the balance in full. As such, the filing of a Satisfaction and Release of Claim is
required to be signed by the Chairman and filed with the Probate Division.
FISCAL IMPACT: The repaid amount of $170.20 satisfies the payoff amount. Funds will be deposited in
the Water-Sewer District Operating Fund (408).
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and required a majority vote
for Board approval. - JAB
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chairman
to sign a Satisfaction and Release of Claim acknowledging full payment for water and sewer services in
the amount of $170.20 for filing with the Probate Division.
