EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint two members to the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory
Board.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory Board to
serve three year terms expiring on December 31, 2023.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5-member committee was created by Ord. No. 75-4, as amended, to advise
the Board of County Commissioners on the budget and operation of the Golden Gate Community Center.
Members must reside within the boundaries of the Golden Gate Community Center Municipal Services
Special Taxing District. Terms are 3 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
There is one current vacancy on this committee, and two seats which shall expire on December 31, 2020.
The pending vacancies were advertised, and the following applications were received:

ATTENDANCE: During the past two years Mr. Bretzmann has had two absences, and Ms. Zenti has
had perfect attendance. Attendance records are included in the backup.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: At its meeting on November 2, 2020, the committee voted to
recommend that Mr. Bretzmann and Ms. Zenti each be reappointed to their respective seats on the
committee, to three-year terms which shall expire on December 31, 2023. A recommendation email is
included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and authorizes the Chair to execute the attached resolution confirming the
reappointments.

RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - _____
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING ERNEST
BRETZMANN AND CECILIA ZENTI TO THE GOLDEN GATE
COMMUNITY CENTER ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, on February 18, 1975, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted
Ordinance No. 75-04, as subsequently amended, establishing the Golden Gate Community
Center Advisory Board to advise the Board on the budget and operation of the Golden Gate
Community Center; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 75-04, as amended, provides that the Advisory Board shall
be composed of three to five electors residing within the Golden Gate Municipal Services
District; and
WHEREAS, there are two seats expiring on December 31, 2020 on this Advisory Board;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Golden Gate Community Center Advisory Board has provided the
Board of County Commissioners with its recommendation for reappointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that ERNEST BRETZMANN and
CECILIA ZENTI are each hereby individually reappointed to the Golden Gate Community
Center Advisory Board, to serve three-year terms which shall expire on December 31, 2023.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote on the 8th day of December, 2020.
