EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the attached Resolution
authorizing execution of Amendment No. 1 to the Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA)
G1B89 with the Florida Department of Transportation for additional funding for the Extension of
Taxiway C at the Immokalee Regional Airport and authorize any necessary budget amendments.
OBJECTIVE: To accept grant funding in the amount of $95,380 from the Florida Department of
Transportation (FDOT) for the construction of Taxiway C at the Immokalee Regional Airport (IMM).
CONSIDERATIONS: On October 22, 2019, Agenda Item 16G2, the Board of County Commissioners
(Board), sitting as the Collier County Airport Authority (Authority), approved after -the fact acceptance
of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grant in the amount of $210,209 and Public Transportation
Grant Agreement (PTGA) Contract No. G1B89 from FDOT in the amount of $11,678 with a required
local match amount of $11,678 for the design of the extension of Taxiway C at IMM.
On September 8, 2020, Agenda Item 16G1, Board, sitting as Airport Authority, accepted a Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) grant in the amount of $1,727,780, with a required local match amount of
$191,975, for the construction of the Taxiway C extension at IMM. At that time the Authority indicated
that it would request funding from FDOT to offset the required local match by fifty percent (50%).
The Authority has received Amendment No. 1 to FDOT PTGA No. G1B89 in the amount of $95,380,
which will offset the required local match by approximately 49.7%. This Amendment includes a revised
project budget of $2,141,171.

FISCAL IMPACT: Budget Amendments are necessary to recognize FDOT grant revenue in the amount
of $95,380 within Airport Grant Fund (498), Project 33650, reduce the transfer from Airport Capital Fund
(496) to Airport Match Fund (499) by $95,380, and increase Airport Capital Fund (496) Reserves by
$95,380.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote
for Board action. - JAB
RECOMMENDATION: To approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the attached Resolution
authorizing the execution of Amendment No. 1 to Public Transportation Grant Agreement No. G1B89
with the Florida Department of Transportation for additional funding for the construction of Taxiway C at
the Immokalee Regional Airport in the amount of $95,380, and authorize the necessary budget
amendments.
