A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, REAPPOINTING JOHN COWAN AND
MARY WALLER, AND APPOINTING ELIZABETH JONES AND JOHN
HARNEY, TO THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING ADVISORY
COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, on July 31, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 91-
65 establishing the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee;and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 91-65, as subsequently amended, on April 9, 2013 was repealed and
replaced by Ordinance No. 13-27, and further amended by Ordinance No. 20-27, which recreated and
reestablished the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee in accordance with F.S. § 420.9076. This
Advisory Committee consists of one elected official and ten citizen members appointed by the Board of
County Commissioners based on the membership categories described in F.S. § 420.9076(2)a.-k.; and
WHEREAS,there are four vacancies on this Advisory Committee;and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting
applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Advisory Committee has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its
recommendations for appointment.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,that
• JOHN COWAN(Resident in Jurisdiction,F.S.420.9076(2)i.),
• MARY WALLER(Resident in Jurisdiction, F.S. 420.9076(2)i.),
• ELIZABETH JONES(Employers in Jurisdiction,F.S.420.9076(2)j.),and
• JOHN HARNEY(Advocate for Low Income Persons,F.S.420.9076(2)d.),
are each hereby appointed to the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee to three-year terms expiring on
October 1,2023.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED upon majority vote this 27th day of October,2020.
