In compliance with this statute, Collier County Enacted Ordinance No. 2009-41, which amends our earlier Ordinance No. 2004-43, to reflect the Florida Legislature's 2009 amendment to F.S. 318.18(13), raising the traffic infraction surcharge from $15 to $30. In addition, Section 1(c) provides that: The funds collected pursuant to this Ordinance shall be used to fund state courtfacilities. Funds collected pursuant to this Ordinance shall be expended as provided by the Board of County Commissioners in consultation with the Chief Judge. Accordingly, the County wishes to utilize these monies for the following courthouse construction and renovations on the 61h floor: • Construction of two new courtrooms, renovation and upgrades to the existing meeting rooms/restrooms and relocation/upgrade of the training room.
