RESOLUTION NO. 2006-322
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO REAPPOINT MEMBERS TO
THE COllIER COUNTY CITIZENS CORPS ADVISORY COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, on November 5, 2002, adopted
Collier County Ordinance No. 2002-56 which created the Collier County Citizens Corps
Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2002-56 provides that the Collier County Citizens Corps
Advisory Council shall be composed of eleven (11) voting members representing
Neighborhood Watch, Community Emergency Response Team, Collier County Fire
Chiefs Association, Civil Air Patrol, Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Red Cross, Salvation
Army, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Collier County Veterans Council, and Collier
County Business Industry; and
WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this Council; and
WHEREAS, the community agencies seeking representation have provided the
Board of County Commissioners with their recommendations for reappointment to this
Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Russell D. Rainey, representing the Community Emergency Response Team, is
hereby reappointed to the Collier County Citizens Corps Advisory Council for a 4 year
term, said term to expire on November 5, 2010.
2. Deborah Horvath, representing the American Red Cross, is hereby reappointed
to the Collier County Citizens Corps Advisory Council for a 4 year term, said term to
expire on November 5, 2010.
3. Captain Alejandro Castillo, representing the Salvation Army, is hereby
reappointed to the Collier County Citizens Corps Advisory Council for a 4 year term, said
term to expire on November 5, 2010.
4. Douglas E. Porter, representing the Civil Air Patrol, is hereby reappointed to the
Collier County Citizens Corps Advisory Council for a 4 year term, said term to expire on
November 5, 2010.
5. James H. Elson, representing the Collier County Veterans Council, is hereby
reappointed to the Collier County Citizens Corps Advisory Council for a 4 year term, said
term to expire on November 5, 2010.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
