Agenda 07/14/2020 Item #16E 6 (Modifications to the 2020 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan)07/14/2020 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve modifications to the 2020 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan which consist of the removal of five obsolete classifications and three reclassifications made from April 1, 2020 through June 30, 2020. OBJECTIVE: To maintain a current and flexible pay plan that best meets the needs of the County. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year - in January, in April and in July. The modifications to the County’s 2020 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan include removal of five obsolete classifications and three reclassifications. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. - CMG RECOMMENDATION: To approve the removal of five obsolete classifications and three reclassifications made to the 2020 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan.
