RESOLUTION NO. 2006-280
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COllIER COUNTY TO CONFIRM AND APPOINT MEMBERS
TO THE EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 80-80, as amended, created the
Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, the Bylaws of the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council provides
that the Advisory Council shall be composed of fourteen (14) regular members; and
WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Council has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its
recommendations for appointment; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Sheriff's office and the Physicians Regional Medical
Center have each provided the Board of County Commissions with the names of their
applicants seeking confirmation and appointment to the Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNll'
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNll', FLORIDA, that:
1. John C. Valenti, representing Commission District 3, is hereby appointed to the
Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council for a 3 year term, said term expiring
August 31, 2009.
2. Douglas S. Lee, representing Commission District 4, is hereby appointed to the
Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council for a 3 year term, said term expiring
August 31, 2009.
3. Dr. Jeff Panozzo, representing the Physicians Regional Medical Center, is hereby
confirmed for appointment to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council to fulfill
the remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on August 31, 2009.
4. Commander Bill Rule, representing the Collier County Sheriff's Office, is hereby
confirmed for appointment to the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Council to fulfill
the remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on August 31, 2008.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
