EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to sign eleven (11) satisfactions of
mortgage for owner-occupied affordable housing units that have satisfied the term of assistance for
the Collier County HOME Investment Partnership Program.
OBJECTIVE: To support continued housing affordability in Collier County.
CONSIDERATIONS: Collier County offers assistance to individuals to make repairs to owner -occupied
housing units through state and federal grants, such as the federal HOME Investment Partnership Program
(HOME). In conformance with the requirements of HOME, contained in 24 CFR 92.254, homeowners
receiving grant funds not exceeding $15,000 must meet affordability requirements for five (5) years.
Homeowners receiving grant funds exceeding $15,000 must meet affordability requirements for ten (10)
years.
If the property remains occupied as the principal residence during the required affordability period, the
assistance provided is forgiven. The following table details eleven homeowners who have fulfilled the
obligations of the HOME assistance provided and are entitled to a satisfaction of mortgage.

FISCAL IMPACT: No Fiscal impact is associated with this action.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
