TO TWENTY FIVE MILES PER 1I0UR (25 MPII) IN GUI.F IIARROR
SUBDIVISION.
WHEREAS. Chaptcr J 16. Florida Statutes. pemlits the Board of County Commissioners to alter
or establish speed limits 011 roads undcr its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS. 1. Pan Am Avenue. 2. Park Avenuc. l Glcndale Avcnue. 4. Vcnctian Way. S.
Bclaire Court. 6. Rainbow Court. and 7. Gmnd Canal Drivc of Gulf Harhor Suhdivision fall undcr the
jurisdiction of the Board of County Commissioners; and
WHEREAS. in ;Iccordanee with Chaplcr 316. Florida Statutcs. the Board of Coullty
Commissioners may set spced 70nes altering such existing speeds when. aner in\'estigation~ it detcrmines
such a limil is reasonahle: and
WHEREAS. I. Pan Am Avenue. 2. P;lrk Avcnue. J. Glcndale Avcnuc. 4. Venetian Way. 5.
Belaire Court. 6. Rainhow Court. ami 7. Gmml Cuml Drivc arc a contiguous residcntial street network.
which is constructed with land widths in anticipation of accommodating only low traffic volumes with
vehicles Iraveling at low speeds; ami
WHEREAS. an engineering study by Collier County Transportation Services Departmcnt has
determined Ihal a speed Iimil of twcnty live miles per hour (25 MPH) would he appropriate for 1. Pan Am
Avenue. 2. Park Avenue. 3. Glendale Avenue. ~. Venetian \\"ay. 5. Bclaire Court. 6. Rainhow Coun. and 7.
Grand Canal Drive since said roadway widths arc less than prcscnt County sl;lIldards.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED BY TilE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY. FLORIDA. that the Boar<.lof County Commissioners docs
hereby establish a twenly live miles per hour (25 MPII) speed limit on I. Pan Am Avenue. 2. Park Avenue.
3. Glendale Avenue. 4. Venetian Way. 5. Belaire Court. 6. Rainbow Court. and 7. Grand Canal Drive. and
docs hereby direct the County Transportalion Services Departmenllo erect signs giving notice thcreof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. that copy of this Resolution he forwarded 10 the Collier CounlY
Sheriffs Officc for proper enforcement of this cSlablished speed limit for 1. Pan Am Avenue. 2. Park
Avenue. 3. Glendale Avenue. 4. Venetian Way. 5. Belaire Court. 6. Rainbow Coun. and 7. Grand Canal
Drive of Gulf Harbor Subdivision.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED. thatlhe elTective date of the specd limit reduelion shall he aner
wrillen notilieation of the speed limit reduction is delivcred to the Collier COllllty Sheriffs Ortice and upon
posling of appropriate speed limit signage.
