Agenda 05/12/2020 Item #16A 3 (Purchase Agmt Triangle Blvd/Price St. Project )05/12/2020 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve an agreement for the purchase of land (Parcel 102FEE) required for the Triangle Blvd/Price Street Project (Project 60215). OBJECTIVE: To purchase a parcel of land (Parcel 102FEE), which is needed for the construction of the Triangle Boulevard/Price Street Project. (Project 60215). CONSIDERATIONS: Collier County is seeking to purchase Parcel 102FEE consisting of an estimated 756 sq. ft. of the southwest corner of the Price Street and Waterford Drive intersec tion. This parcel is needed for the construction of a roundabout as part of the Project improvements. The attached purchase agreement is the result of amicable negotiations with the property owner, Joann Mazdai, Trustee of the Abouzarjomehr and Joann Mazdai Living Trust. The compensation of $1,000 is an aggregate amount aimed at covering any costs incurred by the owner for the review of the agreement and closing documents plus a nominal amount for the value of the land. FISCAL IMPACT: Funds in the amount of $1,050 will be required, being the purchase price of $1,000 plus recording and miscellaneous closing fees estimated not to exceed $50. The funding source for the acquisition of right-of-way is gas taxes. No maintenance costs are anticipated until such time as the Project is constructed. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires a majority vote for Board approval. - JAB GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: This recommendation is consistent with the Transportation Plan and the Collier County Growth Management Plan. RECOMMENDATION: . Approve the attached purchase agreement and authorize the Chairman to execute the same on behalf of the Board of County Commissioners (Board); . Accept the conveyance of Parcel 102FEE and authorize the County Manager, or his designee, to record the conveyance instrument in the public records of Collier County, Florida; . Authorize the payment of all costs and expenses that Collier County is required to pay under the terms of the purchase agreement to close the transaction; . Authorize the County Manager or his designee to take the necessary measures to ensure the County’s performance in accordance with the terms and conditions of the purchase agreement; and . Authorize any, and all, budget amendments that may be required to carry out the collective will of the Board.
