Collier County to Hold an Emergency Special Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners will hold an Emergency Special
Meeting at 1 p.m., Friday, March 27, in the Board of County Commissioners chambers, third floor, Collier
County Government Center, 3299 Tamiami Trail E., Naples, Florida 34112. The meeting will be broadcast live
with closed captioning on Collier Television channel 97/98 and via live streaming at colliercountyfl.gov/ctv and
social media at facebook.com/colliergov.
The Board's agenda will include, but is not limited to:
• Updates on COVID-19 from Dan Summers, Director, Collier County Bureau of Emergency Services and
Emergency Management, and the Collier County Health Department.
• An emergency order of the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, supplementing
resolution no. 2020-50, Collier County's declaration of local state of emergency, to include a mandatory stay-
at-home directive for residents, and closings of all non-essential businesses due to the coronavirus disease
(COVID-19).
This meeting is open to the public. Interested parties may register to speak and to submit their objections, if
any, in writing, to the board/committee prior to the meeting if applicable. All registered public speakers will be
limited to three minutes unless permission for additional time is granted by the chairman.
The public is reminded that the CDC and the Department of Health recommend social distancing and avoiding
public gatherings when possible.
Collier County Ordinance No. 2004-05 requires that all lobbyists shall, before engaging in any lobbying
activities (including, but not limited to, addressing the Board of County Commissioners, an advisory board or
quasi-judicial board), register with the Clerk to the Board at the Board Minutes and Records Department.
Collier County Emergency Management is monitoring COVID-19 and preparing for any potential impacts to the
county. Residents are encouraged to continue and monitor the national and local news for updates.

As part of Collier County's ongoing effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, and in keeping with CDC guidelines
regarding social distancing, Collier County is offering the public an opportunity to provide comments in
advance of the Collier County Board of County Commissioners Emergency Special Meeting taking place at 1
pm on Friday, March 27.
The public is invited to submit comments via email to PublicComment@colliercountyfl.gov and send text
messages to 239-571-9348 until 10 am on Friday, March 27. Comments will be shared with Collier County
Commissioners in advance of the Collier County Commissioners Board Meeting.
