EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners provide approval for the State of
Florida E911 Board/E911 State Grant Program.
OBJECTIVE: To request approval from the Board of County Commissioners to accept the FY 2020
grant application under the E911 State Grant Program.
CONSIDERATION: The Florida E911 State Grant Program is to assist counties with the replacement
or upgrade of Enhanced 911 (E911) systems; for counties to develop and maintain statewide 911 routing
using Emergency Services Internet Protocol (IP) networks (ESInet), Geographic Information Systems
(GIS) and services, and Management Information Systems (MIS); and develop and maintain Next
Generation 911 (NG911) systems and services.
FISCAL IMPACT: The Florida E911 State Grant application requested the following funding:
State funding: $134,550 for the Radius NG 9-1-1 Tactical Mapping
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: None
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as
to form and legality, and requires majority vote. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To request approval from the Board of County Commissioners to accept the
grant application under the Florida E911 State Program.
