EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint two members to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint two members to the Radio Road Beautification Advisory Committee to
four-year terms expiring on March 3, 2024.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five member committee was created on October 21, 1997 by Ordinance No.
97-52 to aid and assist the Board of County Commissioners in carrying out the purposes of providing
curbing, watering facilities, plantings and maintenance of the median areas as set forth in Ordinance No.
96-84. The committee shall recommend work programs and priorities to the County Manager or his
designee. Members shall be permanent residents within the MSTU. Terms are four years. A list of the
current membership is included in the backup.
Two terms on this committee will expire on March 3, 2020. The pending vacancies were advertised and
the following applications were received:

ATTENDANCE: Mr. Cooper and Mr. Lewis each had two excused absences in the past two years.

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: That Mr. Lewis and Mr. Cooper be reappointed to their seats
on the committee, to new four-year terms which shall expire on March 3, 2024. A recommendation email
is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
Recommendation, and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the reappointments.
