A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA TO ESTABLISH A "NO OVERNIGHT
PARKING" ZONE AT THE COLLIER AREA TRANSIT (CAT)
FACILITY LOCATED AT 8300 RADIO ROAD.
WHEREAS, Section 130-34 (b) of the Collier County Code of Laws and Ordinances
provides that upon the advice of the transportation services administrator, and/or the county
administrator or his designee, the Board of County Commissioners may designate, by resolution,
certain areas owned/leased by the County as being areas in which parking is restricted or
prohibited; and
WHEREAS, the county administrator has advised that vehicles are being parked
overnight at the CAT transfer station, located at 8300 Radio Road and depicted in exhibit A, and
resulting in a shortage of available parking spaces, traffic congestion, and otherwise negatively
impacting the operational activities of the CAT transfer station; and
WHEREAS, the county administrator has advised that the Board of County
Commissioners prohibit overnight parking at this location and post the appropriate signage, as
depicted in exhibit B.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: the following County
property, located at 8300 Radio Road and depicted in exhibit A, be designated as a "No
Overnight Parking" zone and said parking lot be posted as necessary with signs specifying that
parking overnight is prohibited, as depicted in exhibit B.
The effective date of the restriction shall be after written notification to the Sheriff's
Office and upon posting of the appropriate signage.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion; second and majority vote this a z+-1 day
