EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to accept a grant donation from the Hsi-Yang Wu Memorial Fund through the
Branch County Community Foundation in the amount of $500 for general support of the Collier
County Public Library and authorize the necessary Budget Amendment.
OBJECTIVE: To accept a restricted donation to benefit the patrons of the Collier County Public Library.
CONSIDERATIONS: On November 8, 2019, the Hsi-Yang Wu Memorial Fund contributed $500
towards general support of the Collier County Public Library through the Branch County Community
Foundation Designated Fund Grant Program.
The Branch County Community Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 dedicated to promoting philanthropy,
building endowments, and other charitable funds, and connecting community resources. The funds will be
used to enhance the quality of library services and programs for residents and visitors of the Collier
County Public Library System.
FISCAL IMPACT: A Budget Amendment is needed to appropriate the donations totaling $500 within
the Public Service Grant Fund (709) Project (33609). There is no requirement for a County match.
LEGAL CONSIDERATION: This Item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
for approval. - JAB
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management impact.
RECOMMENDATION: To accept a grant donation from the Hsi-Yang Wu Memorial Fund through the
Branch County Community Foundation in the amount of $500 for general support of the Collier County
Public Library and authorize the necessary Budget Amendment.
