•June 25, 2019: Board approved Ordinance 2019-16
allowing for the use of golf carts on designated
public roads on Chokoloskee and Plantation Island
•October 8, 2019: Board heard item 6, a public
petition from Mr. Robert Lamb indicating his
concerns regarding not allowing golf carts on
excluded sections of roadway
Golf carts should not be operated on portions of
Plantation Parkway and CR-29.
Primary consideration not to allow the use of golf
carts where the posted speeds are 45 mph was the
speed differential between motorists and golf carts.
Uphold Ordinance 2019-16 not allowing golf carts
on Plantation Parkway from approximately 850
feet north of Spoonbill Avenue to CR 29.
