EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve the after-the-fact donation for three (3) fitness equipment items to the
Immokalee Fire Department.
OBJECTIVE: To approve the donation of fitness equipment for the Immokalee Fire Department.
CONSIDERATIONS: On May 22, 2018, the Board (agenda item# 16.E.2) approved the donation of (12)
fitness equipment items from Immokalee Sports Complex to the Immokalee Fire Department. Following
the Board approval, the Immokalee Fire Department took ownership of fifteen (15) items. The three (3)
additional pieces of fitness equipment should have been included on the original list brought to the Board,
as it was always intended that the Immokalee Fire Department would receive all fifteen (15) donated
equipment items. This documentation issue was discovered during the 2019 annual capital asset inventory
process, and this executive summary will provide the proper authorization for the donation.
FISCAL IMPACT: The net book value of three additional donated items was $0.00.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the Count Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To approve the after-the-fact donation for three (3) additional fitness
equipment items previously donated to the Immokalee Fire Department.
