WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 154, Florida Statutes, Collier County Ordinance No. 79-95 established the Collier County Health Facilities Authority to assist health facilities in the acquisition, construction, financing and refinancing of projects within unincorporated Collier County; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 79-95 provides that the Health Facilities Authority shall consist of five members who are residents of Collier County; and WHEREAS, there is one seat on the Health Facilities Authority which expired on October 9, 2019; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice seeking applications from interested parties; and WHEREAS, staff has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its recommendation for reappointment.
