EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize execution of the budget amendment for $635,000 for
communications VESTA Hardware Replacement (9-1-1).
OBJECTIVE: To authorize execution of the budget amendment for $635,000 for communications
VESTA Hardware Replacement (9-1-1).
CONSIDERATION: The Collier County Sheriff's Office needs to replace the hardware for the VESTA
system. CCSO needs to replace it because this hardware is beyond its lifecycle and soon OS support.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment for $635,000 to be able to use Emergency Phone System
Funds.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: None.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners (1) authorize execution of the
budget amendment for the 9-1-1 communications VESTA Hardware Replacement.
