A RESOLUTION AMENDING COLLIER COUNTY
RESOLUTION NO. 1000-145, THE COLLIER COUNTY
COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE PLANNING AND FINANCE
COMMITI'EE, TO INCREASE ITS EX-OFFICIO
MEMBERSHIP FROM EIGHT TO TWELVE MEMBERS.

WHEREAS, on August I, 2000, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County
adopted Resolution No. 2000-245 establishing the Collier County Community Health Care
Planning and Finance Committee as an ad hoc committee to (1) lead a broad based community
health care planning process, which includes a financial and economic analysis of program
recommendations submitted by the Community Health Care Review Committee, as well as
specific program recommendations made by its own members; (2) to identify the most
appropriate solutions to current and future community health care needs; (3) to quantify the cost
of these solutions; and (4) to determine the optimum mix of funding mechanisms to finance
proposed solutions, and
WHEREAS, the Committee is requesting that the Board of County Commissioners increase
the Committee's ex-officio membership from 8 members to 12 members.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY mE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY FLORIDA, that:
SECTION ONE. Amendment to Section Two orCoUier County Resolution No. 2000-245.
Section Two, Appointment of Members and Failure To Attend Meetings, of Collier County
Resolution No. 2000-245 is hereby amended to read as follows:

The following members are hereby appointed to the Collier County Community
Health Care Finance Committee:

Certified Public Accountants & Financial Specialists
Commercial & Investment Bankers
Health & Insurance Actuaries, Underwriters & Brokers
Health Care Attorneys & Consultants
Managed Care Specialists
Appropriate members of the Health Care Review Committee
Business Leaders
Community Leaders
Ex-Officio Members:
Naples Community Hospital
Cleveland Clinic
Collier County Medical Society
Collier County Dental Association
Mental Health Association
Collier County Health Department
Department of Health Volunteer Coordinator
County Budget Director
Collier Health Services
Health Planning Council
Collier Countv Public Schools
Certified Public Accountant

The number of voting members appointed to the Committee shall not exceed eleven (11)
individuals.
If any member of the Collier County Community Health Care Finance Committee is
absent from two (2) or more consecutive meetings without a satisfactory excuse, such
member's position may be declared vacant by the Board of County Commissioners as
prescribed by Collier County Ordinance No. 86-41, as amended.
This Resolution adopted this 12 day of September, 2000 after motion, second and majority vote.
