Resolution 2000-264 , RESOLUTION NO. 2000-264 100 A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO THE RURAL LANDS ASSESSMENT AREA OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE WHEREAS, Collier County is required by the State of Florida Administration Commission, pursuant to the Final Order of Case No. AC-99-02, to conduct an assessment of the rural and agricultural area of the County, including all lands designated AgriculturallRural, the Big Cypress Area of Critical State Concern, all conservation lands outside the County's Urban Boundary, and Southern Golden Gate Estates; and WHEREAS, on August 3, 1999, the Board concluded that it would create a citizens committee to conduct a bifurcated analysis of the assessment area and to oversee the assessment and development of comprehensive plan amendments for the Assessment area, excluding the rural fringe area; and WHEREAS, on December 14, 1999, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 99-87, creating the Rural Lands Assessment Oversight Committee, which is to be composed of fifteen (15) members; and WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this Committee; and WHEREAS, the Board of County commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that: 1. Barbara Berry, Commissioner, is hereby appointed to the Rural Lands Assessment Area Oversight Committee for the remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on the date that the Committee submits its report to the Board of County Commissioners. 2. Stephen A. Bortone is hereby appointed to the Rural Lands Assessment Area Oversight Committee for the remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on the date that the Committee submits its report to the Board of County Commissioners.
