State Statue 337.403(1): Responsibility of the owner of the utility infrastructure to move the lines. Jan 12, 2016: BCC approved Interlocal Agreement for reimbursement of actual relocation costs. 2 2 Oct 22, 2018: Bridge replacement completed. Final amount for utility relocation: $326,178.24. Invoice No. 65471 issued on Jan 14, 2019 to the City of Everglades. Certified second notice on Apr 17, 2019, certified third notice on Jul 2, 2019 and certified fourth notice on Sept 3, 2019. 3 3 The County Manager received a letter from the City of Everglades on September 25, 2019 asking for forgiveness of the debt: 4 4 To provide direction to the County Manager:   Option A: Direct the County Manager to negotiate a payment plan with the City of Everglades to reimburse Collier County over time or Option B: forgive the debt and bear the cost of relocating the City’s utilities. RECOMMENDATION: 5 5
