RESOLUTION NO. 2000-llL
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF A
FOUR- WAY STOP CONTROL AT THE INTERSECTION OF
NORTH 9TH STREET AND ROBERTS AVENUE IN IMMOKALEE,
FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, Chapter 3 J 6, Florida Statutes, permits the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) to install
traffic control devices on roadways under its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, North 9th Street and Roberts Avenue both fall under the jurisdiction of the BCC; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, the BCC may install traffic control devices
as may be appropriate upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation; and
WHEREAS, the results of such engineering and traffic investigations determine that four-way stop control
is warranted under the conditions found to exist and conforms to criteria promulgated by the County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT:
SECTION 1; The BCC does hereby approve the installation of a four-way stop control at the intersection of North
9th Street and Roberts A venue in Immokalee, Florida, and does hereby direct the County Transportation Services
Department Staff to install appropriate the signs and pavement markings giving motorists notice thereof.
SECTION 2: A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Collier County Sheriff's Office for proper
enforcement of the four-way stop control at the designated intersection.
SECTION 3; The effective date of the four-way stop control shall be after written notification to the Sheriff's Office
and upon posting of appropriate signage and pavement markings.
