EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reappoint Paula Rogan as a member to the Golden Gate Beautification
Advisory Committee.
OBJECTIVE: To reappoint Paula Rogan as a member to the Golden Gate Beautification Advisory
Committee to a four-year term expiring on October 6, 2023.
CONSIDERATIONS: This five-member committee was created by Ordinance No. 87-78 to advise and
make recommendations to the BCC regarding the beautification and maintenance of landscape
improvements within the road right of way as described by ordinance boundaries. The committee shall
prepare an itemized budget of the amount of money required to carry out the business of the committee
for the next fiscal year. Members must be residents of one of the following precincts: 323, 324, 32 5, 326,
327, and part of 322. Terms are 4 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup.
One seat on the committee expired on October 6, 2019. The vacancy was advertised and applications
were received from the following:

ATTENDANCE: During the past two years, Ms. Rogan has had four excused absence. Attendance

COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATION: On September 17, 2019, the committee approved a
recommendation that Ms. Rogan be reappointed to her seat on this committee, to a four-year term
expiring on October 6, 2023. A recommendation memo is included in the backup.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners adopts the Committee
recommendation and directs the County Attorney to prepare a resolution confirming the appointment.
