EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the attached Resolution
authorizing execution of Amendment No. 1 to the Public Transportation Grant Agreement (PTGA)
G0Z12 with the Florida Department of Transportation for additional funding for the
Rehabilitation of Runway 18/36 at the Immokalee Regional Airport.
OBJECTIVE: To accept additional grant funding in the amount of $1,074,000 for the rehabilitation of
Runway 18/36 at the Immokalee Regional Airport (IMM).
CONSIDERATIONS: On January 8, 2019, Agenda Item 16G1, the Board of County Commissioners
(Board), sitting as the Collier County Airport Authority (Authority), accepted a Public Transportation
Grant Agreement (PTGA), Contract No. G0Z12, with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
in the amount of $352,000 for the rehabilitation of Runway 18/36 at IMM. The estimated project budget
was $440,000.
The Authority has received Amendment No. 1 to PTGA G0Z12 in the amount of $1,074,000 for
additional funding for the construction phase of this project, which will commence after the project is bid.
This Amendment includes a revised project budget of $1,782,500. Funding for the required local twenty
percent (20%) match will come from Airport Capital Fund (496) Reserves.

FISCAL IMPACT: Budget Amendments are necessary to recognize FDOT grant revenue, in the
amount of $1,074,000, within Airport Grant Fund (498), Project 33605 and appropriate the required local
match, in the amount of $268,500 within, Airport Match Fund (499), Project 33605 via a transfer from
Airport Capital Project Fund (496) Reserves.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote
for Board action. - JAB
RECOMMENDATION: To approve and authorize its Chairman to execute the attached Resolution
authorizing the execution of Amendment No. 1 to Public Transportation Grant Agreement No. G0Z12
with the Florida Department of Transportation for additional funding for the rehabilitation of Runway
18/36 at the Immokalee Regional Airport in the amount of $1,074,000 and authorize the necessary budget
amendments.
