EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a budget amendment in the amount of $200,000 recognizing and
appropriating Golden Gate Community Center Fund (130) carry forward in order to complete
parking lot resurfacing.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and appropriate unbudgeted carryforward in order to complete planned
parking lot resurfacing at the Golden Gate Community Center.
CONSIDERATION: The FY 19 Golden Gate Community Center budget provided funding of $200,000
to complete parking lot resurfacing. This project is now scheduled to proceed in FY 20. In order to
accommodate the project, funding is required to be carried forward and appropriated in the FY 20 budget.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for the work described herein exists in Golden Gate Community Center
Fund (130) as un-appropriated carry forward. A budget amendment is required to recognize and
appropriate these funds. The Golden Gate Community Center budget will be amended to include
$200,000 of additional carry forward revenue and the expense budget will be increased by the same
amount.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan from this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, and presents no
legal issues save it requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes a budget amendment
recognizing and appropriating Golden Gate Community Center Fund (130) carry forward in order to
complete parking lot resurfacing.
