RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND REAPPOINTING
MEMBERS TO THE SMALL CITIES COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT CITIZENS
ADVISORY TASK FORCE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 90-60 established a Small Cities Community
Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 90-60 provides for the appointment offive members for two year
terms after the initial term; and
WHEREAS, there are currently four (4) vacancies on this board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting
applications from interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
I. Kathleen C. Herrman, representing the category of Minority, is hereby appointed to the
Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for a two year
term, said term to expire on December 31, 2000,
2. Darlene Koontz, representing the category of Social Sciences, is hereby reappointed to the
Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for a two year
term, said term to expire on December 31,2001.
3 , Vanessa Fitz, representing the category of Community at Large, is hereby reappointed to
the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task Force for a two
year term, said term to expire on December 3 1, 2001.
4, David Chilcote, II, representing the category of Community at Large, is hereby
reappointed to the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Citizens Advisory Task
Force for a two year term, said term to expire on December 31,2001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County
hereby waives the provisions of Section Seven (b)(1) of Ordinance No. 86-41, as amended,
relating to a limitation of two consecutive terms of office, for the purpose of reappointment of
Vanessa Fitz to this Committee.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
