RESOLUTION NO. 00-115
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS
TO THE BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County adopted Ordinance No. 91-38 creating the Black Affairs
Advisory Board, which provides that the Advisory Board shall consist of seven (7) members; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-77 amended Ordinance No. 91-38 by
providing that the Advisory Board shall consist of nine (9) members; and
WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. La Verne C. Franklin is hereby appointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board to fulfill the
remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on June 25, 2003.
2. Catherine Askew Quitto is hereby appointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board to fulfill
the remainder of the vacant term., said term to expire on June 25,2002.
3. Marian Thompson is hereby appointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board to fulfill the
remainder of the vacant term, said term to expire on June 25,2001.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
