EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize budget amendments to recognize revenue, in the amount of
$141,220.20, within Stormwater Capital Fund (325).
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to authorize budget amendments to recognize
revenue, in the amount of $141,220.20, within Stormwater Capital Fund (325).
CONSIDERATIONS: The South Florida Water Management District (the District) operates and
maintains the Henderson Creek Canal stormwater system under a Cooperative Agreement with Collier
County, dated October 13, 2000, as amended. Collier County acquired a 1.58-acre parcel in the amount
of $141,220.20, located adjacent to and within the canal, and fronting Tamiami Trail East, for the District
to install stormwater equipment and provide access to, and maintenance of, the weir on Henderson Creek
Canal.
The District reimbursed Collier County for all costs associated with the acquisition of the property and
will operate and maintain the stormwater equipment and weir in the Henderson Cre ek Canal, pursuant to
the existing Cooperative Agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are needed to recognize this reimbursed revenue and
appropriate into the Plantation Island Project 60238 and Goodlette Frank Road Project 60142, in the
amounts of $ 127,220.20 and $ 14,000.00, respectively, within the Stormwater Capital Fund (325).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Plan impact associated with
this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, does not present a
legal issue, and requires a majority vote for Board approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To authorize necessary budget amendments to recognize revenue, in the
amount of $141,220.20, within Stormwater Capital Fund (325).
